What to look for in a pre-owned Springfree trampoline

A well looked after Springfree trampoline can last for many years however, Springfree trampolines can still develop rust if water is trapped inside it overtime. Rusting from the inside out, it is impossible to judge a Springfree condition by online photos alone. 

A simple way of identifying if a Springfree is rusted inside is to ask the seller if there’s any brown colour (rust) on the drainage holes. If you are inspecting yourself, look underneath the frame for a small hole. Brown colour near the drainage hole is evidence that the trampoline is rusted inside. A rusted frame can weaken its structure and can be unsafe.

The most common damage to occur on the net is the zipper section.. The stitching may come apart causing the zipper section to come undone leaving a hole. This cannot be repaired and a new net from Springfree is recommended. 

Depending on the model and size a new net will cost over $200.

Inspection of the stitching on the mat is very important. Once the stitching comes undone due to several factors, the rod holders are no longer held underneath the mat securely causing the rods to dislodge. The stitching cannot be repaired and a new mat from Springfree is recommended.

A Springfree with a green base should be avoided. This is a very old model and the frame will have rust definitely. Due to this we at Big Bounce will not relocate or assemble a Springfree trampoline that has a green base. .
